SEPTEMBER 22–24, 2025: HLV AT THE 8TH INFRASTRUCTURE & TRANSPORT CONFERENCE ITC 2025
HLV participated in a panel discussion at the 8th Infrastructure & Transport Conference ITC 2025 on the topic: “Challenges and Opportunities from the Growth of the Construction Sector for Greek Industries.”
We highlighted the key challenges of producing Green Steel in Europe — operating within the rigorous European framework, managing high energy costs, addressing the shortage of technical labor, and navigating over-regulation.
At the same time, we emphasized HLV’s inherent strengths as a recycling industry — using 99% scrap as raw material and electricity as its main energy source — while outlining the company’s investments in solar energy as part of its journey toward zero emissions.
With a strong and healthy balance sheet, Hellenic Halyvourgia is ready to invest in the technologies and innovations required to remain at the forefront of the steel industry, ensuring the delivery of competitively priced Green Steel products. We remain committed to taking a leading role in building the foundations for a sustainable and competitive Greece of tomorrow.
